Hi,

I finally found time to work with the Classic II again. Yes, the
sound is coming from the speaker. It makes the sound when I click on
a menu and hold it open, and when moving the mouse pointer around on
the screen. I let it run for around an hour then tested again and
found the sound was not there any more after a good warm up. After it
sits powered off for several hours and is turned on again the sound
returns. It happens when booted from the internal hard drive or booted
from a floppy so it appears to be a hardware issue.

Any ideas what it is or how to fix it?

Thanks,
-Joe
