Format 3.5" floppies on your IIGS as ProDos. Then use a Compact Mac like an
SE or SE/30 to get transfer files.
Here's the trick: do not extract the files on your Mac but copy transfer
them as ZIP files to the floppy disks and then unzip them on the IIGS.
It's worth installing a SCSI controller in your IIGS ( if you don't already
have one ) so you can unzip the files to the hard drive and get the IIGS
make the floppy disks, probably with Asimov or Diskmaker back to probably
5.25" floppies as most software on the internet for the IIGS is in .img or
.2mg format.
With a SCSI card in your IIGS combined with an external SCSI Drive, you can
also hookup the SCSI Drive directly to your Mac and copy the files but do
keep them zipped, otherwise Mac OS will screw up the resource fork of the
files.
