Depends,  what do you want to do with it?  When I had one I had max ram airport 
and a DVD burner installed by myself and played wow on it for a long time.  So 
depends what you want it to do.  Depending on the processor it will only take 
up to os 10.3.9 or 10.4.11 the newest of those may take 10.5 the 1.25 model I 
think.  Just be aware 10.4 or less and you can't use the newest iTunes for 
devices like iPad or iPhone.  Wih vlc player could be a good cartoon machine or 
what not.  Good luck.

I own a imac G4 in good shape and would love to upgrade it. I've gotten 
conflicting views as to whether it can really be a useful machine at all-- a
