It looks like I'm losing data (resource fork, i think) when i use hfsutils to copy from the classic's hfs diskettes to the zip hfs+ diskette.
It is appearing that I can dd 1.4m disk images to the classic, but that everything else may be losing something at some point. As such, it doesn't sound like playing with a loop file on the linux box with an hfs format will work. Pity my scsi zip drive seems to have developed the click of death (two loud clicks on getting power). Anyway, can anyone point me to a disk image I can use with dd for the Mac Classic (sys 7.0), and something that can unwrap the results under lion.
