Hi everybody I have recently bought two Mac SE FDHD/Superdrives, each with a slightly different problem. I was hoping that somebody might be able to help me diagnose the issues. I have put videos onto YouTube. Here are the videos:
VIDEO 1 Apple Mac SE (Superdrive) - whirring noise: http://youtu.be/DMyBg9r_Fkw The Mac is making a loud whirring noise- I'm not sure if this is a fan or a hard drive issue though sounds a wee bit more mechanical so thought it'd be a hard drive. VIDEO 2 Apple Mac SE (Superdrive) - strange screen on startup: http://youtu.be/2gaW2ERxxdk There are zebra-like large/thick block vertical lines on the screen for a few seconds which appear at start up. Any help or ideas you could give about diagnosis and possible repair ideas would be great. Take care :) J.
