I have a back-lit portable, ReBuilt Battery/working HD/Re-capped etc, i believe this to have the voltage regulator issue. after being on the charger for a couple hours... i can unplug charger , power up from battery... HD starts up, boots all works great!
while in use, only after about 5 or 10 minutes, the hard drive shuts down, tries to power back up makes some noises and then gives up... if i plug the charger cable back in, Macintosh 1.5a portable charger, the HD spins up right away and all is fine. so basically my issue is running off the battery after just 10 minute, in this time the battery goes from 6.68 to 6.52 that is all and that is around when the HD goes off and will not spin back up. The Battery meter is still at 99% in mac os mind you. Anyone have any info on a fix for this funny looking voltage regulator? Or the cause of my issue? if this regulator is not my issue? Thanks!
