Best source is John Woodall as he bought out the Carrollton, Texas Lisa facility about a decade ago. I remember when he called me after closing the deal and headed south in a rental truck.
He goes under vintagemicros on eBay and also has a website. It won't come cheap but it will be as nice as you can get. There is not a man on Earth who knows this machine better and certainly none that even have a fraction of parts compared to him. Of all Apple Computers ever sold, the Lisa is by far the most finicky and hardest to get running and keep running. You fix one thing then another unrelated item goes south. Sooner or later parts will be needed, period. John also markets internal storage via flash memory and has all the Lisa software ever made available to install. Lest you think that I have a single thing to gain read on. At one time, John and I were very good friends, but we had a large falling out about five years back. He is far less flexible, pragmatic and understanding than I, so suffice it to say we have not spoken since then and we never will again. But all the above changes nothing. You are likely flushing your money by going any other way. You may think that you can pick one up cheap, restore and repair it... You may well be able to do just that with a lot of luck and a whole lot more money. I would estimate that during my 13 years on eBay, that I have personally restored and shipped 30-40 Lisa's overall, mostly overseas. Repair wise, I never met a Vintage Mac or Apple II that I could not make the needed repairs and get up and running. Lisa is a whole different story written in a foreign language. Hope this helps as that was my intent. Richard Darner A & D Land & Minerals, Inc. 6001 W.
