Great and concise info. Thanks. I installed Open Transport 1.1.1, only because 
I've had the disk set forever, and it chose Ethernet as the option when I 
opened TCP/IP. It also provided a network address, meaning I hope it sees that 
card. Without an active Ethernet connection it's all conjecture. 

The guide suggests  OT 1.3 for a system 7.5.3 install, and says to update to 
7.5.5. That gives me a path to follow.
