And an old flip clock - one of the big ones with a calendar built in! Once upon a time, I installed Gentoo Linux on a 25MHz 486 by bootstrapping it from Stage 1. This involved compiling the system libraries and toolchain twice, and took about two weeks to complete. The system is bigger and would take much longer to build these days.
