You can have free space fragments in between un-fragmented files as
well. If you have a file that takes, say, 30 blocks & they're all
contiguous, that's an un-fragmented file. You could have, say, 2
blocks following it that are empty, before the next file starts.
That's a space fragment... Next time you write a file to disk that
takes 3 or more blocks, the first 2 are going into that space
fragment, the next one will go into the next space fragment. That's
how files become fragmented.
