Some time back at a thrift I picked up a box of videogame stuff
which had some other unrelated things like AC adaptors, cordless phone
manuals, PC Mice, etc, even an old PC flightstick, which I noticed had
its own pricetag on it so I pulled it out before heading to the register.
Among the parts was a Canon power supply, (K30081) no idea what it was
for, until a couple minutes ago...maybe.

I was gathering up some stuff to take down to GoodWill and
remembered the power supply, so I pulled it out, noticed the connector,
and something clicked.

Since some StyleWriter printers are based on Canon engines and
virtually identical looking to their PC counterparts, I pulled out my
Color StyleWriter 1500. The power supply fits the printer, the polarity
matches, and the specs match...almost. The CSW1500 is rated at 28 watts,
the Canon one at 23.

What chance do I stand of frying the printer, or doing damage to
something over an extended period? I actually have two of these printers,
(one lacks power,) so losing one isn't a big problem, (I don't even use it
much either,) but would still suck.
