Hi All,
About a month back, I had posted a message describing a slightly off
topic problem I was having with a LaserWriter 12/640 PS I got from school. I
described the problem as follows.

When the printer fires up, there is no engine movement, no test page, but the
logic board POST is fine. The lights blink like their supposed to, but after
the tests are all done, the "paper jam" light comes on, and stays on. At
this point, the printer does nothing. I can see the printer in the Chooser
with both local talk and Ethernet, I can try to print to it, resulting in a
misfeed message, but when I load it onto a management platform, the printer
doesn't respond. I've tried LaserWriter Utility, Apple Printer Utility and
The Namer. The printer stops responding, and with some programs, the Mac
hangs. I've been mostly troubleshooting this with my trusty PowerMac
5400/180 and my SE/30 with Ethernet. If anything, I would like to narrow
down this problem to the logic board or something. I have taken the printer
apart totally, and can't find any real paper jam.

Thankyou in advance for you help,
    Levi Glennie
