Ever wondered about the difference between a modern high end HP or
Xante postscript laserprinter and a 10 year old Laserwriter IINT?
Well, the first two print faster and have an ethernet card, but the
outcome pretty much look like the same to me...
It doesn't seem to matter that I am using a g3 running 9.1 with the
latest version of ATM to print DTP documents that were created in
2000. Looks like this ten year old printer is just thinking: 'a
postscript job is a postscript job. Let's start working!'
Cool!
BTW I noticed Laserwriter IINT description files in the OS X printer
libraries. Guess Apple is giving these babies another 10 years of
operating system support. No need to mention that my floppy driven
plus running system 6 prints just as nicely on the IINT.
