You don't have the slightest clue how friggin' expensive those LC II
accelerators are, do you? Even used on eBay they're over $40, which is
just silly when you could buy about five Q605s for that, or even a 6100...
Then again, if you want to accelerate the LC II just because you have money
to burn/don't want another Mac/whatever, be my guest.

Depends a lot on the Mac, actually. Clocking an LC II is a real PITA.
Clocking a 605 is a 15 minute job.
