I don't think the IIvx can be chipped, at least not easily.  There might -
and I stress MIGHT - be an outside chance that if you can isolate the clock
line on the bus, you might be able to feed in a faster clock signal and get
it working.  Simply swapping an oscillator probably - check the FAQ's link
for sure - won't work.
