ok, installed/config. MacTCP (v2.06) used Earthlink domain
name and IP Addresses restarted
installed/config. MacPPP (v2.0.1) used my Earthlink Init,
then tried AT&F1. after
each config. change i restarted, turned the modem off then
back on. every try yields the same results. the modem
lights start to flash the MacPPP Status: box opens, it
quickly says
"checking modem" then it says "initializing modem" then 4
or 5 seconds later another box
opens up and says "PPP wait timeout! Waiting on: OK
( is that an OK or a zero K ?) there is also anOK
button. click that and the windows close . i feel like i'm
not doing 1 simple step.
checked out Jag's "How to set up Earthlink Net Access for a
68k Mac " followed that,
        same results. any other suggestions?
