I tried it. It didn't stop the browser from trying
to contact the flycast or burstnet servers, which
are the main ones that cause trouble with browsers
that are not Internet Explorer for Windows. :P
Internet Options for IE 5.5 Win won't accept those
proxy settings unless you also specify an actual
proxy server to go through for internet traffic.
And to top it all off my general websurfing was
SLOWER as the system churned through the hosts file
AND it caused Yahoo Mail to not work correctly.

So, got something else for Mac and Win that will
specifically target Flycast and Burstnet? I can live
with the ads as long as their servers don't do
stupid things with "minority" web browsers.
