You need the DayStar Turbo 601 control panel is all.
It doesn't even need to be put in the control panels
folder. The Apple control panel will only work to
turn off a 601 upgrade in an 030 Mac.

Supposedly the Turbo 601 requires at least System 7.5.
It even included 7.5 as part of the package deal.

7.5.x requires the 601 upgrade enabler, either the
Apple
or DayStar one will do.

7.6.x does not require the enabler, except on the PPC
Disk Tools floppy.

8.1 does not require the enabler at all, even for the
PPC Disk Tools floppy.
