I bought an LCIII at a thrift store (first Mac I owned myself) that ran 
fine for years on a 160 meg drive... that I had to knock on to get it to 
spin up. Yes, I actually had to pop the top and knock on the drive for it 
to spin up. Otherwise it just ticked ;) It did finally die, but it lasted 
for a couple or three years. I made sure not to keep anything critical on it :)
