Make a spacer to fit between the lid and the case. Step the top edge in

and roll the top edge to make the step.

I know a guy who will air brush enamel paint the case in any
automobile color you want. no lie. been thinking about having him do
it to my three, myself.

the choices, the choices.
daytona canary yellow? tutone bel-air cream and turquoise?
candy apple red? lipstick cadillac pink?

I've been debating on a nice deep metallic teal sparkle myself....
why, you put you some halogen flashlight bulbs on the front, a little
chrome cooling grille across the center, some sheet metal fins on the
sides, maybe some LED running lights tied in to the processor...
little miniature glaspacks out the back...

--oh--and make sure you get a rocket and the mission control software
that goes with it. then you can have the roar of the engines, when you
start it up. [ pickle, you explain it to them]

then you can leave your friends gaping, every time you tell em you're
gonna go fire up your hotrodded mac. they won't believe you meant it
literally until they witness it.

(and before anyone goes laughing it off, stop long enough to remember
that Skinz makes a custom slipover cover for your G3 that has the
raceway flames of classic hotrodding on it, same as any custom car!
And friends--if they can do it, then by god, why shouldn't we,?!)
