Thanks, pickle. Using google.mac, I picked up on a recent thread at Applefritter. It's a dinosaur - I'll take a pass. Still the cheapest way to print is with a dot matrix - hands down. Where I work, our suppliers routinely supply brand new dot matrix printers by Okidata (I think). Their ribbon cartridges snap in. At a store, the price is about Cdn $7 for most other brands. ImageWriter (either black or color), anyone? Epson is another name. I recently tested one using a PowerPrint cable. Quick printing of basic text. Don't know about labels, though. The practice of 'shorting out' an inkjet cartridge when the ink level falls below a certain point - this is capitalism? Cheers George PS: regarding OS X, Apple has a long list of supported laser printers. I think you need a PS level II, whatever that is.
