I finally have the problem fixed.  I reinstalled MacTCP and it works now.
For the record, Open Transport isn't an option when working with floppies.
It's too big.  I'm trying to get a decent browser installed, as I went with
MacWeb (again, because it fit on a floppy).  It's interesting to get my
error messages in French, but it won't let me into Gamba's site and I get
errors at Jag's House.  I can at least put a decent browser on my site and
download from there.
