I used to do this thing where I pulled the plug ever so slightly out and I
got sound out of both
speakers, albeit mono. Since that's a normal 1/4 inch mini-plug, I can't
fathom what would cause
that non-stereo, one speaker thing you're facing. are we talking System
sounds? If so, I get that too.

But playing a CD or iTunes I get beautiful stereo.
