I don't recognize either the Mustek or General Instruments parts but 
sorry, this doesn't sound like a LocalTalk card to me.



I did see one of these once upon a time but don't remember the 
details.  AFAIK the earliest versions used the same basic hardware as 
the serial ports on a Mac.

Zilog 8530      Dual Serial Interface
26LS30          Differential Line driver
26LS32          Differential Receiver

The 8530 or a variant is pretty much required for LocalTalk, it 
implements part of the protocol in hardware.  In later Macs it's 
functions are integrated with other devices into a custom chip.  For 
a card that is only doing LocalTalk such integration is pointless. 
The 26LS chips provide the electrical interface to the line and could 
be replaced with other devices, especially on a card only doing 
LocalTalk.
