I received the 475 yesterday.  The computer still would not boot via the
switchbox.  I reattached the 13" monitor, and set the monitors cotrol panel
to 16 colors (I wonder if I missed this on the LC II?).  I re-booted the
Mac.  I than hooked the 475 to the switch-box, took a deep breath, and
re-booted.  Lo-and-behold, it works!!!  I am a happy camper.  No Y-adaptors
for me!

I also replaced the monitor with another 1705 that I purchased off of eBay.
I was having problems with that, too.
