Thanks to all who gave input. I picked up a 12 VAC wall wart and now the
unit is
working fine. I can print across it, as well as exchange files from my
older
appletalk (PhoneNet) Macs to my newer PPC Macs on ethernet.

Sorry for any confusion. I'm networking older Macs to PPC Macs, not to a
PC.
However, I'll soon need to bring a PC into the mix, so I went to the
site you
mentioned and it crashed Netscape. GRRRR. I gotta' try iCab.
