I have a friend who dug out of the trash a Performa 630 CD . It's amazing what people will throw away , my 32' stereo TV that "had" a blown fuse proves that. But I digress. The HD was a total mess so he gave it to me to see what I could do with it. So I used the "DiskTools" floppy to wipe the drive and after trading the 8mb SIMM with a 16mb I had laying around , I loaded OS 8.0 on to it and , so far , it works fine. Which surprised the hell out'ta me seeing as how it's only got 255.7mb ROM at 33 MHz. Anyway , all he wants to use it for is as a word processor but I can't find one anywhere . C-net along with a lot of others are either down or are on a limited basis for the weekend but I would like to get it out of here as soon as possible. Anybody know of a decent WP program that's either freeware or shareware and easy to use that'll work on this thing ?? I tried putting my copy of "AppleWorks 5.0.3" on it but it that was a "no-go". I'm guessing that it's a 68040 but I can't find the manual over at Apple either for some reason. Any help would be appreciated
