Hi! I just swapped for an Asante MacCon NuBus card, I bought it for my IIci which runs 7.1 with 32MB of RAM, a cache card, RAM Doubler and a 500MB HD. I have no trouble physically installing the card, but I am not sure how to use it. Do I need an extension or some special driver software? If so, where can I get it? The card's product name is sort of touch for me to decipher, but printed on the logic board it says: "Asante Technologies, Inc. Copyright 1991 MC3NB(ST-NIC-V) REV. B1 " A sticker on one of the chips says "ASANTE-MC3NB 000094-20C950 024-09-A" Can you help me? I want to use this card's RJ-45 port (it has three types of ports, one looks like co ax, one is like a serial port, and the third is an RJ-45 jack) to network my IIci into my Ethernet network.
My next NuBus hunt is for a decent video card, any suggestions? Any help would be most appreciated! I'm just starting to get into these 68k Macs, learning more all the time from this list. and I want to max out my IIci for Photoshop 3 and Illustrator, and network it into my home network... Thanks!
