Does anybody know if Ehman 45 MB removable disks are interchangeable with any other disks like Syquest perhaps? I'd like to get one or two Are they 45MB or 44MB? If they're 44, then they're probably just re-branded SyQuest mechanisms anyway. the pickle === The label says "45 MB Removable Hard Disk" and "Ehman Quality Macintosh Peripherals Since 1985" which, I'm guessing is about when it was made. The cartridge measures 5 3/8" x 5 3/8" and has a red drum (Mrs. Torrence) in the upper right corner that you can turn from the underside with a screwdriver. I guess this locks it but I haven't tried it. underneath is an 1 11/16" aluminum disk attached by 6 brass rivets. A 5/16" hole in the center of this has 5 small spring clips inside. Does this match the SyQuest cartridges? I got two of these cartridges with the drive and a Mac Plus with external floppy and peripherals, all working, for $5 on eBay a couple of years ago, Maybe my best buy. It was close by too, so the shipping wasn't a killer. ______________________________ Hardy, Hard's Disk Ltd., Freehold NY. A branch of the Abandoned Computer Shelter.
