Hi folks: I've got a problem that is kind of mystifying me: I've got an SE/30 I've been working on to be my *very personal* computer. I was cruising along trying to get it to network with 6.08 and control always comes up with an error when trying to switch from localtalk to ethertalk.
After trying the same 6.08/networking set up on an LC *successfully*, I'd about decided there must be a problem with the SE/30 10baseT card. But as a last test, I tried booting the SE/30 with the 7.5.3 network disk and you guessed it: It took right off without a hitch. So, now here's the question: What do I do now? I'd really prefer to keep the SE/30 and simple and fast as possible to the point where I'm considering only booting from 7.5.3 when I need network. (Which would be infrequently once it's set up.) But having to do so in itself introduces some complexity, so I guess what I'm really fishing for is something more I can do to get 6.08 to network on the SE/30.
