Unfortunately, the 2600 magazine case over the DeCSS code has been lost once in
local court (circuit or district, I think) and lost again on two appeals in
higher courts.  The 2600 folks aren't taking it to the Supremes, but the lower
courts appear to have just as little competence as Congress.
