This sounds like an excellent test of retro-computing, I'd love to post the pictures 
and text and results on my web page.

I think you should perform the test with both machines running optimal OSes. OS 7.1 
w/updates is by far the optimal OS for the IIfx in my mind, that is if you are going 
to test internet performance. Otherwise, OS 6.0.8 will blow the doors off the PC. Is 
Win95 optimal for the 386? It is a full 32-bit machine, so I guess yes (else, linux 
would scream, but it's not a mainstream OS, especially during the early '90's). I 
would think that the scaled down as possible Win95b would be best.

Hope to see it happen, please notify me anyone who is preceding with it. I 
unfortunately own neither a 386DX40 nor the fx. I have a couple of SE/30's, ideas 
anyone? Best, David
