It's one of those Catch-22s. StuffIt is distributed stuffed.

What you'll need to do is get the BinHexed version, which should be a
.bin, and then use your browser to decode it. There's a whole page about
it on Aladdin's site.

help!

i've just downloaded the nice games you folkx reccomended for my LC
III... but didnt have stuffit, so it didnt recognise a .sit.bin file... 

okay so i download stuffit_expander_55.hqx (version 5.5) from aladdin...
but my mac still says it can't find the program that made hqx.... 

what do i need to install?... i thought this should be self-extracting..
hmm.... 

i'm running OS 7.1 on a LC III (68k)...
