actually *that* is rubbish...
the original post i made that started this discussion was regarding a 
scientific study of people who stop computers and the connection with 
high body energy / anxiety levels. we also addressed the possibility 
that photography of the body's electric charge might be useful in this.
its analogous to people who can stop watches with body magnetism. thats 
widely acknowledged - in fact friends of mine who have this problem are 
unable to wear watches. likewise i *know* people who can walk under sets 
of street lights and blow them one by one. fortunately my problem is not 
so bad, i just continually blow lightbulbs - in comparison to my 
incredibly calm flatmate who doesnt blow lightbulbs ever!
the connection with Macs, i believe (which i am *extremely* prone to 
crashing) has to do with the light plastic casing on iMacs and G3/G4 
towers - i've never had problems with my beige macs. but i can sit at an 
iMac or G4 and crash it within seconds. my studio manager was initially 
puzzled by this but is very interested in the phenomenon and does 
believe the connection with body electricity is true.
