Buy 3 original LCs and hack 2 them an use the third for spares, 
throwing out the guts apart from the PSUs. If you can find a way to fix 
the fan down you should have no trouble with a 475 board in there.

Mine aren't either. One is darker beige than the other.

The trick is only hack out what you need to. The more lid you leave the 
more rigid it is, which can only be good!
