Out thrifting today I spotted a Mac Plus box...with the Mac in it.
(It wasn't packed with other stuff like clothes or 8-track tapes.)Also had the keyboard, power & keyboard cables, mouse, manuals, styrofoam blocks for everything, manuals, Apple logo decals, floppy discs, the introductory/guide cassette tape (still in the cellophane wrap,) and I'm guessing the plastic bag for the Mac too (folded up neatly on the side.) The box was in pretty decent shape too, just shipping labels stuck across the top. The $500 Mac box flashed in my head. This of course was a Plus, but still, it had all the packaging and materials in very good shape. If I had the space, I would've grabbed it...probably toss it up on eBay though. Wouldn't matter how much or little it got, I'd have seen it worth the trouble just to spare the thing from thrift store hell (I fear what condition it'll wind up in by next weekend as the usual assortment of a55401es pull the parts out, peek inside, and leave it like so.) -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
