You could find another PLW NTR for about, oh, free, and fix it yourself, or you could upgrade to a MUCH better printer - his price on a 4M is a bit high but it's a very good printer - for about the same amount of money as you'd spend in time fixing the old printer. Bottom line: if you can afford about $100-150 for a good used 600 dpi, Ethernet-equipped, PostScript Level 2 laser printer, jump all over it.
