I was given 2 PB165Cs. Neither worked off the bat, but one eventually came
to life after I left it plugged in for three days to recharge the PRAM
battery. No luck with the other one, it does nothing but the backlights
light up, giving me a dark blue screen. Sometime, if I wiggle the AC plug
a bit, the hard drive will spin up but after a few clicks, nothing. Won't
boot from a floppy, either. Reset PRAM, powermanager. No luck.

Could this be caused by a very dead PRAM battery? The other PB is out on
loan until December, then I can swap parts and see what happens, but I'm
hoping you will have suggestions...

Thanks,
Jerry
