That is one thing I don't like about the Handspring. Later versions of the Visor do have newer versions of the OS, but still lack the ability to flash upgrade the unit. You can pick up expansion cards for next to nothing. I got a brand new Magellan GPS Companion at Wal-Mart for 25$: down from 180$ 6 months ago.
