With only the internal hard drive attached, run Lido. If that hard drive won't "mount", look hard at the ribbon cable. Replace it, even. I have a Conner 350MB hard drive that came in a IIci. No termination. Won't work with ANY peripherals attached. It's a jumper issue, I know. And the fact it used to be a PC hard disk, so it's got no termination resistors. There are setting you can get for all jumpers on the back of that drive off it's manufacturer's website. You must mount it, first, then fiddle with the jumpers: ID, Term Power, motor-start, etc. until an effective combination is reached. OR, get an Apple-ROMmed hard disk and breeze on....
