Just looked at the Installation Guide and it makes reference to
"additional features" if you are using system 7. Is not specific but
seems to "assume" installation under system 6.
>From page 1-3:
Macintosh Requirements
* a Macintosh Plus or any later Macintosh model
* an internal or external hard disk
* one 1.4 MB SuperDrive
* a minimum of 640K of available memory (RAM), although
FileMaker Pro is preset to 1200K - the preferred amount.
(If you're using System 7.0 or System 7.0.1, you also
must have installed System 7 Tune-up, version 1.1.1.
System 7 Tune-Up is available from Apple Computer, Inc.,
or your Apple dealer.)
* at least 2 MB of available memory (RAM) if you are using
Apple AU/X 2.0 or later
* at least 2 MB of disk space to install the minimum necessary
FileMaker Pro files; 4 MB of disk space for complete installation,
including Help, utilities, and sample files
Ken
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.
