Yeh! The Long List Webpage Guy, Mr. Wood was/is my favorite go-to spot for
never-ending info on Old Macs. I spent DAYS poring over the links in his
site.

As to the unnecessary upgrade, I did it because of the slogging way I.E.
worked
in 7.1, 7.5 and 7.5.3. I reasoned that if the Netscape version was designed
for
7.6.1, I'd get the most from it with the upgrade. The Quadra really "feels"
like a
speed demon. And version 4.76 comes with Flash.

This all came about in an attempt to sell a IIci to a girl here locally.
When I offered it to
her for $25US with monitor and keyboard/mouse, she asked if it would
Internet, do on-line gaming and shockwave. I bit my tongue hard, told her
the cost of a machine that
WOULD, then set about to see if the Quadra was close to "up-to-it".

And, fooling around with Netscape 3.0x DID make the SE/30 more peppy, too.
Just annoying with the javascript errors.
