<<Is there anything like what Sherlock does for 68K? I hope there is
something better than the search engines on the web I usually use.>>

I believe Lestrade(the successor to Lazysearch) will run on 68k(see below
from its ReadMe). The company's new url is
<http://www.northernsoftworks.com/> Hmmm...I see the present version on the
site is v.4x, for OS8,9,X. If you want v.3.0.2, and can't find it elsewhere,
write me offlist.

Find Anything Anywhere on the Internet

Do you want to use Sherlock search engine plugins but cant run OS 8.5? Do
you need the latest weather forecast from Cleveland? Do you need an obscure
news article for a school assignment? Then let Lestrade do the detective
work for you. Lestrade features a plugin architecture to make searching the
internet fast, easy, and flexible. With over 70 plugins right out of the
box, Lestrade is ready to sleuth through the internet to find just about any
information you might need. And you can customize Lestrade by building your
own plugins or importing Sherlock plugins. Just drag and drop!

Installation of Lestrade is simple. The application is distributed on a Disk
Copy disk image which can be opened with Disk Copy or Stuffit Expander. Just
drag the Lestrade folder from the Lestrade disk to your hard drive. Lestrade
runs on any Mac II or higher and requires System 7.5 or later. Lestrade
works with Netscape, Internet Explorer, or iCab, and can use just about any
browser if Internet Config is installed and configured.

Operation of Lestrade is even easier. Just type some text, select a search
engine, and hit the search button. Lestrade allows your plugins to be
categorized any way you like, and each plugin has a brief description of the
search engine right in the console window. No more wading through the web to
hunt for information!

Lestrade is distributed as shareware. You may use it for up to 30 days after
which you are expected to register the software. Registration costs $15 and
is handled by Kagi. You may use the provided Registration application to
register by mail, fax, or email. You may also register online at our web
site: <http://members.xoom.com/lazymountain>. After registering, you will
receive a serial number. Select Register from the Apple Menu. You may
enter your name and serial number. Be sure to enter it exactly as instructed
in your registration receipt. Please save your receipt in case you need it
in the future.

Thank you for trying Lestrade. I hope you enjoy the program. If you have
any questions please email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
