Hi list, I am having some troubles with my Classic. I am running System 6.0.8, and I used Silverlining to partition and format my hard drive. I also told it to automatically spin the drive down when not in use for ten minutes. I was just typing up a report on MS Word 5.1 when it needed to access the HD for a command. The system froze, and gave me the bomb, "Sorry, a system error has occurred: Illegal instruction". I tried "g"-ing my way out, but that only resulted in "stack collision with heap". Is there some other way to spin down the HD without it crashing every time you attempt to save? It is Silverlining version 5.6.4 that I used to tell the drive to spin down. Any help?
