That's good to know.  I didn't want to do it without checking first.

I wish other systems stored their powered-on hours.  A few UNIX systems
do this, but I don't believe my Sun workstations do.  I know they have
probably >100K hours on them.

I like Techtool but for one thing: it rarely explains why a test failed.

For example, on my fresh install of System 7.1.1 it said the system
folder was corrupt.  I don't see how it could have been since it was
about 15 minutes old, but the worst part is that it simply says it's bad,
and not why.

Otherwise, it's pretty nify.

Macenvy is a little faster for getting quick details, it's just not as
much detailed information.  I'd love to see it add the power-on hours
and afew other details.

Too bad so much Mac stuff is closed source.  We could keep updating
things if we had the sources.
