Sorry for any double posting. This may not seem *too* on-topic for either of these lists, but it is a Mac Hack and I need some ideas and help.
I finally managed to completely disassemble my PB100. It is quite small when the battery and hard drive are removed. If you have never seen the interior of a PB100: The motherboard does not extend any farther down than the lower edge of the keyboard. With the battery removed, there is a small space on the right of the PB that I hope to use for standard rechargeable batteries (advice: which gives best bang-for-buck: Li-Ion, NiMH, or NiCd?) I will have to run the PB off an external drive until I hack a "dock" that will fit beneath the basic unit. Now my task is to hack a subnotebook case for the MoBo, keyboard, and display. I was thinking clear plastics, but it would probably be easier for my brother (he's taking shop) to use thin steel (backed with nonconductive material, of course) bent to fit the shape of my PB100. I you want pictures of the "exploded" PB100, email me [EMAIL PROTECTED] (replace nospam with attbi) Any suggestions welcome. Oh, BTW, I heard about some sort of software screen rotator. What, where, and will it run on system 6 on a MC68HC000 ? ---------------------------------------------- Alan O'Neil My Dual-Monitor Mac cost over $8,000 new!
