ah. the fabled sync-on-green monitors.

this can be remedied with a small monitor adapter device that you plug
on the end of the monitor cord. you'll want the kind that has mac db15
plugs on both sides of it. you need not pay the ridiculous prices at
Griffin monitors site. [30-something bucks]. I found mine at a PC trade
fair for 8, and the swaplist and eBay are bound to have them for maybe
10 bucks, 5 bucks.
it should come with a paper describing directions for how to set the
tiny dip switches for sync-on-green function.

that's if you want to use your onboard video and not get a card. or
don't want to try to find a sync on green monitor.
theres no need, really.

or-- like the man said, shop on the list for a nubus video card, put it
on a nubus slot in your beast, and plug your color monitor in to its
connector, once its firmly in place on your motherboard. 'free your RAM,
and the rest will follow...' read the LEM articles on Nubus video cards
to get a better idea what you're looking for.

be sure everything is connected as per my previous post, BEFORE you
power up and try to boot.
