In which case I am 99% certain it won't work on a IIci, without you buy 
some sort of adapter and even then I don't know where to get those 
from, if they even exist.

The Sync-on-Green thing suckered me initially but I use VGA and SVGA PC 
monitors on all my Macs so I just had to buy a better Mac -> VGA 
adapter.
