I might work up some Dutch courage to do the VGA mod one day... Mr Takky's
site seems to explain it well but still seems worryingly difficult when
you've never wielded a soldering iron before. Havent got the URL offhand,
but google shld find it...("Apple RGB monitor VGA Takky")In the meantime, a more pressing problem is that the picture on my 12" RGB only lasts for up to about 30 mins before winking out (going black) with an audible click? The LED remains 'on', i.e. green. It's def something to do w the monitor, not w the computer. As it approaches the point of clicking off, minute by minute, the picture shrinks slight;ly but noticeably and it becomes more and more blurred. I'd like to have a go at repairing it... mike ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Main" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Vintage Macs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, December 22, 2002 1:34 PM Subject: Re: Help with take-apart 12" RGB > Alan O'Neil wrote: > > >I am trying to take apart my 12" RGB monitor (the 512x384 one) and I > >have managed to remove the screws and get the latches under the feet > >but past that I'm stuck.
