Several years ago when the Q605/LC/P475/476 was just reaching the age
where batteries died, this was a very hot topic in the comp.sys.mac.*
news group hierarchy. Before it became common knowledge what the
problem was there was one joker selling 475 motherboards for either
$100 or $75 (can't remember which anymore) with trade-in. I'm sure
in the vast majority of cases he was just sticking a new battery in
them and selling them to the next victim.
